Michael Butterworth is a coffee writer and consultant, and he calls this recipe “the only AeroPress recipe you'll ever need.” He recommends using a higher temperature and longer brew time for a sweeter, more delicious cup. Use two filters to keep any sediment out of your brew.

Steps
Place two paper filters in the cap and rinse with hot water. Discard the rinse water. | |||
Add 15 g of ground coffee to the brew chamber. | |||
Briskly pour 225 g of boiling water onto the grounds. |

Insert the plunger at the top of the brew chamber and lift up slightly to create a seal. Let steep. | |||
Remove the plunger and gently break the crust with a spoon. |

Reinsert the plunger and let sit. | |||
Slowly press into the cup. |
