Alan Adler is the inventor of the AeroPress. This is his original recipe, which is easy to follow and ideal for beginners. Adler recommends using a grind that's somewhere between drip and espresso. Add hot water at the end to make a classic American cup.

Steps
| Add 16 g of ground coffee to the brew chamber. | |||
| Give a gentle shake to level the grounds. | |||
| Pour water up to about 1½ on the chamber (approximately 95 g). | |||
| Stir using the paddle. |
