The 58 Best AeroPress Recipes (Updated for 2024)

The AeroPress is a coffee brewer invented by Alan Adler. It's easy to use, affordable, and offers countless ways of brewing different types of coffee — from your classic American cup, to iced coffee, to a stronger cup resembling espresso.

At Aeromatic, we love the AeroPress and have spent years testing out recipes for it. We've collected all our favorite recipes and converted them into a standard format, which comes with a built-in stopwatch that highlights the current step as you brew. You can brew these recipes from your web browser, but for the best experience we recommend installing our app, which lets you add notes and favorites, track your coffee beans, and create your own recipes.

To brew with the AeroPress, all you really need is ground coffee and hot water. The recipes use measurements in grams, but if you don't have a scale, you can use the AeroPress scoop to approximate the coffee amount (a full scoop is roughly 16 grams). For water, 1 gram = 1 milliliter (or if using imperial measurements, 30 grams = 1 fluid ounce). Using a scale makes it easier since you can get more accurate measurements and don't need to do any conversions - just make sure not to plunge with the AeroPress still on the scale, since it could break the scale!

The other piece of equipment that we recommend using is a coffee grinder. You can use pre-ground beans, but grinding from whole beans just before brewing will result in more flavorful cups of coffee. You can also adjust the grind size more easily, since some recipes call for a coarser or finer grind than usual.
